WORST CASE OF ID THEFT IN USA HISTORY-
Worth the read from the Author---

AS A FORMER MEDICAL EQUIPMENT BUSINESS OWNER in Virginia, I HIRED THE "WRONG EMPLOYEE"  as many of us have done over the years. Due to my bad experiences, I closed the doors to my two medical businesses.

The employees got into my banking, got the bank to hand over my signature cards without my permission, opened up an online banking account using my name, altered my insurance payment checks and deposited them into the fraudulent account he opened , stole my business Medicare and other insurance checks,  bled into my second business, interrupted and diverted all forms of communication  to include diverting phone calls, holding out email messages, stealing faxes and got past all locks and security systems.
The employee stole my medical files and business records to include patient and physician records, EOB's, proprietary information and took over my electronic communications. He got into my tax information, credit cards, vendor accounts, almost refinanced my house, opened up accounts using my name, and much more.

Behind my back, he told people that we were married and he owned my businesses. In the city by the sea in Virginia, he conned the Police, the landlord and my customers.

After he was fired, I tracked down every step that he took and learned from his actions how to identity these thieves and their actions. I learned  from you might say the Best ConArtist in the business. Unfortunately, he is still out there.

The Bank tried to cover up their mishandlings, delay meetings, sealed records, and more. The HELOC loan connected the contract employee with the bank's employee.  The VP of the Bank asked me how I figured it out!  The VP did not say the bank would look into the case but  ...how did I figure it out!!!

At that time, I could not get any help! My ID Theft, fraud, and burglaries were still in the new phases and the FTC was building their website. The FBI said the local Police had to call them in to investigate, however, political connections trumped my situation! Those attorneys not connected with the bank quoted $30,000 to start the investigation, and private investigators and could not get the local Police to investigate the employee, the id thefts, fraudulent account or activity, or the bank.

What if you were in this situation? Could you be Jane? Three to four other medical businesses were effected in the same area by id theft, fraud and more but the police did very little! Are you at risk? Have you put your practice at risk? How about your living as well as your patients identities and information?

After all of this drama, I decided to become a Certified Identity Theft Risk Management Specialist from Institute of Consumer Financial Education (ICFE).

Now I am ready to help you! I studied and traced how these thefts were done. My nightmare could be your Resource to keep you and your business safe!

Rather than the VP of the Bank asking me:  "HOW DID YOU FIGURE IT OUT, she should have said, let us help you!"  The Bank did not help  me with these thefts instead asked me to close my accounts.  All accounts were closed except the Home Equity Line of Credit. The Bank sealed my HELOC account information and would not provide the information to me as to who moved my money from a line of credit to become a loan and as to who directed this movement. I became responsible for the loan amount even though the unauthorized movement of my funds, I started looking for answers.  Still, after the recent closing of the sale of my house, the Bank still protected those sealed records and would not release the information as to who transferred money without authorization and allowed the massive manipulations of my accounts.

Due to the massive amount of over 120 pages of detailed records that I submitted to the FDIC, the bank had to respond to the FDIC even though the records were sealed to me. The Bank stated the transfers were Internet related transfers. However, I Never did ANY Internet banking or bank transfers!  Could this happen to you? Do you have time to WATCH and MONITOR your employees or you trying to conduct business and see patients?

The Police believed that all accounting was the same, do you think medical billing and accounting is the same? What if your records are stolen or your EOB's are stolen and the thieves decide to hack into your system and set up their own medical business with your records? What will you do? How will you recover your losses?
